Presentation of the water system
Terme Čatež d.d. is the operator and owner of the water supply system that supplies the entire complex Terme Čatež d.d., located at Topliška cesta 35, Čatež ob Savi, SI – 8250 Brežice. The water supply system supplies approx. 4000 users.
The following are connected to the water supply system of Terme Čatež:
- Hotel Terme, Hotel Čatež, Hotel Toplice and Toplice Annex,
- Thermal Riviera,
- Terme Village (camp, apartments, mobile homes, Gusarski Bay and Terme Village reception with shop)
- Market shop
- Confectionery Urška,
- Production of desserts, ice cream, bread and pastries
with all catering and other facilities that are located or belong to all the above-mentioned facilities / locations.
Users and employees are provided with health-appropriate drinking water in accordance with the Regulation on drinking water (Official Gazette of the RS No. 61/2023).
There are four wells on the system, which are used as a source of drinking water in the water supply system of Terme Čatež. The ‘Terme’ well and the ‘Cvetje Čatež’ well are always in use and have an organized preparation; at the ‘Terme’ well, preparation is arranged with automatic dosing of gas chlorine, and at the ‘Cvetje Čatež’ well, water preparation is arranged with sodium hypochlorite dosing drop by drop depending on the flow. The fountains ‘Sulice’ and ‘Snack bar’ are spare.
Tips for saving water
We all need to be aware that clean water resources are not inexhaustible. Therefore, we must have a responsible and economical attitude towards water.
By reducing the consumption of water, we also indirectly reduce the consumption of electricity, contribute to the preservation of the environment and mitigation of climate change.
- Turn off the water while shampooing and save up to 250 liters of water per week.
- Throw paper towels, tissues, etc. in the trash and do not flush them down the toilet.
- Turn off the water while brushing your teeth and save up to 18 liters of water per minute.
- Teach children to close faucets tightly after each use.
- Do not wash your teeth and face separately, but do it during the shower.
- Turn off the water while shaving. This way you will save up to 450 liters of water per week.
- Try to shower for less than 5 minutes. This way you will save up to 500 liters of water per month.
