More than two hundred years ago, I sat on my rocks above the Sava River and watched the first thermal springs erupt. Locals used these springs to relieve their pain, and then refreshed themselves in the cool waves of the nearby Sava and Krka rivers.
Many years have passed since those times. Today, I no longer sit on a rock above the Sava – I live here, in the middle of these wonderful thermal springs, where invaluable sources of warm and healing water are trapped. 365 days a year!

Which hotels are connected to the Thermal Riviera?
The following hotels are directly connected to the Winter Thermal Riviera: Hotel Toplice 4*, Hotel Toplice Family Inn 4* and Hotel Čatež 3.
Are bathrobes and towels included in the accommodation price?
Bathrobes are only included in the stay when staying at Hotel Terme 4* and Hotel Toplice Family Inn 4*. In other hotels, an additional charge of €5 per person per day is required.
Is swimming in the Thermal Riviera included in the price?
Swimming is included in the price for all package offers that include half board and when staying in accommodation facilities in the Terme Village.
What are the meal times in the hotel restaurants?
Breakfast is available between 7 and 10 am, and dinner between 6 and 9 pm.
Can we also swim on the day of departure?
Entrance to the pools is also included on the day of arrival and departure.
Are taxes and registration fees included in the price?
Tourist tax and registration fees are not included in the price. They are mandatory additional payments at the reception.
Why is the price of the package different today than a few days ago?
We have a variable price list, which means that the price changes depending on demand and occupancy.
Is free late check-out from the hotel possible?
No, a surcharge is required for late check-out, the latter depending on the accommodation.
Is a birth certificate sufficient as a document and do children need a document to check in at the hotel?
To check in at the hotel, a guest must have an ID document stating the date of birth and address of residence. If children do not have an ID document, you can bring their birth certificate with you.
Are drinks included with meals in the hotel restaurants?
Drinks with meals are at an additional cost. The drink available as part of the breakfast buffet is included in the price of the meal or accommodation.
Is it possible to exchange dinner for lunch?
You can exchange dinner for lunch. Please arrange the exchange at the reception.
Are saunas included in the price?
Entry to the saunas is not included in the price of accommodation, except for wellness package offers (Pampering in the Wellness Riviera or Grand Spa for both), where this is stated in the description of the services included in the package price. Therefore, an additional fee is required for entry to the Wellness Riviera or Grand Spa Terme.
Why do I have to pay a single use surcharge if a minor child is staying in the room with me?
A single use surcharge is required if there is only one person over the age of 18 staying in the room.
Does the hotel offer childcare?
Childcare is not available.
What is the entertainment program for children? What attractions do you offer for children?
You can ask for the animation program at the reception upon arrival. The winter Thermal Riviera has many water attractions for children of all ages, and there is also a Mini Club at the Tropski vrt restaurant, where our animation team prepares an interesting program every day.
Is advance payment required to confirm the reservation?
Advance payment is not required to confirm the reservation. Payment is made in full directly at the reception.
What are the options for canceling the reservation?
The reservation can be changed or canceled free of charge no later than two (2) days before arrival.
Do you offer airport transfers?
We do not offer hotel transfers. However, we can provide you with the contact information of a transportation service (taxi, rent-a-car), and it is also possible to arrive at Terme Čatež by bus.
Do you have a room for 6+ people? Can two families stay in one room?
In the case of 6 or more people, accommodation in separate, adjacent rooms is possible.
Is it possible to connect to the hotel’s Wi-Fi everywhere?
Wi-Fi connection can be found in all hotels, receptions and marked locations.
How far are the apartments from the swimming pools?
The apartments are spread throughout the campsite, so it is difficult to determine the exact distance between the apartments. It is usually around 400 meters.
Where is the campsite reception?
The Terme Village reception is located opposite the Garden Center. When you drive towards the entrance to Terme Čatež, turn right behind the football fields and you will soon be at the reception.
How many people are the mobile homes and apartments intended for?
A mobile home has a capacity for a maximum of 6 people, of which a maximum of 4 adults. Lux apartments have a capacity of a maximum of 5 (adults) people, and Lux Plus a maximum of 4 adults and 1 child.
Do the mobile homes and apartments have heating available?
Mobile homes and apartments are heated and cooled with air conditioning.
Are swimming tickets included if we stay in mobile homes and apartments?
Swimming tickets are included in the price of staying in apartments and mobile homes.
What are the mobile homes and apartments equipped with (towels, bed linen, kitchen equipment)?
In mobile homes and apartments, the rental price includes: bed linen and towels for personal hygiene (bring your own for the pools). The kitchens are equipped with basic kitchen equipment (cooking pots, plates, cutlery, glasses).
How much does the 6th ticket (for the summer Thermal Riviera) cost when staying in mobile homes?
The price of the sixth ticket is €15.
Can we reserve a specific camping pitch in advance?
You can choose a pitch upon arrival, advance booking is not possible.
How much is the flat rate?

When do the pools open?
The Winter Thermal Riviera is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm.
Are you open today? Can we come and swim?
The Winter Thermal Riviera is open every day of the year between 9 am and 9 pm.
The Summer Thermal Riviera is open from mid-April to mid-September, every day, weather permitting. During the summer season, the Summer Thermal Riviera is open from 8 am to 8 pm. For current opening times depending on weather conditions, follow us on our social networks.
Are you open on holidays?
The Thermal Riviera is open 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays.
How much is a daily ticket?
We have a variable price list, which means that the ticket price varies. For the best price, we recommend purchasing an e-ticket on our website.
We can’t find the price for a day ticket online, or is it no longer on offer?
There is a link to purchase e-tickets on our website, where you can check and choose the price of a ticket for all days of the year.
Is it possible to purchase a ticket for the pool with lunch included?
The ticket is valid only for swimming. Catering is available for an additional fee in several catering establishments within the Thermal Riviera and the Terme Čatež resort.
Do you have family tickets?
We don’t have family tickets, we have separate tickets and prices for adults and children.
Do you have a discount for pensioners/disabled people?
We don’t have special benefits for pensioners or disabled people.
Is the day ticket valid for two entries or can we go out and back in with the day ticket?
The day ticket is valid for a single entry to the Thermal Riviera.
What are the opening hours of the Wellness Riviera?
The Wellness Riviera is open every day of the week, from 4 to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. onwards. For current opening hours and special features, follow us on our social networks, where all changes to opening hours are announced in a timely manner.
Does the Wellness Riviera ticket also include entry to the winter Thermal Riviera?
With the Wellness Riviera ticket, you can also go to the winter Thermal Riviera, but unfortunately not vice versa.
Is a reservation required for the Wellness Riviera?
We do not accept reservations and they are not required.
How can we pay in the catering establishments at the pools?
In the catering establishments at the pools, you load the desired amount onto the bracelet with which you enter the pools at the cash register before entering and then use this bracelet to pay for services within the Thermal Riviera. If there is credit on the bracelet, it will be returned to you in cash upon departure from the Thermal Riviera.
Are the pools at the Winter Thermal Riviera accessible to people with disabilities? Which pool has a ramp?
Unfortunately, the pools at the Winter Thermal Riviera are not adapted for people with reduced mobility. The only pool that is adapted and has a ramp is at the Hotel Čatež.
Can we take snacks and drinks with us to the Winter Thermal Riviera?
Bringing food and drinks into the Thermal Riviera and the pools is not recommended.
Can we eat at the Winter Thermal Riviera?
There is a self-service restaurant and the Valovi Lounge Bar available at the Winter Thermal Riviera.
Is there a sea / ski resort nearby?
The sea and ski resorts are approximately 200 km away from Terme Čatež (in Slovenia).
Do we need a vignette to get to you?
A vignette is required to drive on Slovenian motorways. If you use regional roads to get to us, you do not need to purchase a vignette.
Is there a shop in the Terme Čatež complex?
There is one large and one small shop in Terme Čatež.

Each of our hotels has a restaurant, and additional catering establishments are available within the complex. For more information and opening hours, please see the Hungry Guide on the website and at the hotel receptions.

What news do you have?
We have recently opened a new Wellness Riviera for you, a new sauna oasis located on more than 1000 m2 in the winter Thermal Riviera.
What was the last renovation?
In the fall of 2023, we renovated the sauna park, which now has a new name – Wellness Riviera. All hotel restaurants and the Snack bar on the Summer Thermal Riviera were also renovated, as well as the Terme Village reception, which is also in a different location. In the fall of 2024, we also opened our largest wellness center – Grand Spa Terme, Pub Cabana and the Thai restaurant Chuty’s. In June 2025, we are opening the renovated Hotel Toplice Family Inn 4* (formerly Depandance of the Hotel Toplice), which is intended for families with younger children.
Can we use the football pitch?
Football pitches are only intended for rental by professional football teams.
Are dogs allowed in the hotel and Terme Village accommodations?
Dogs are only allowed in the campsite with your own trailer, camper or tent for an additional fee of €6 per day.
Do pets have food included in the price of their stay?
The pet fee does not include food.
Can pets go to the swimming pool?
Pets are not allowed in the Winter and Summer Thermal Riviera, hotel swimming pools and indoor areas of hotel restaurants.
